Gary’s Mod Review

 

Gary’s Mod is a sandbox physics game using a modified source engine, created by Garry Newman. The game was officially released on November 29, 2006, In March 2013 it was revealed that the game has made over 22 million dollars. Gary’s Mod is made only for computer devices.

 

The fun factor of Gary’s mod is that it is a sandbox, which is where a player can roam freely through a virtual world and is given considerable freedom in choosing how or when to approach objectives. Another fun factor is that Gray’s Mod allows player to download free attachment on the game, for example downloading weapons to shoot thing with it. For the fun factor of Gary’s Mod I would give it a 9/10.

 

The Gameplay in Gary’s mod is usually considered to be a full game, it has no game objective and players can use the game's set of tools for any purpose whatsoever. Garry's Mod allows players to manipulate items, furniture and props various objects that players can place in-game. There are different games that other people have made for everyone to play on like prop hunting. This is a game that is set for playing online, finding plays that could be a bin, a chair, etc. For the gameplay of Gary’s Mod I would give it a 9/10.

 

Gary’s Mod has not got the best of graphics but they are not the worst. I find that graphics are one of the most important part in a game, so for me is not the best of games but that is my opinion. I found that when you blow something up you can see it blowing up but after there is nothing to show that it have blow up, no holes in the ground. For the graphics in Gary’s Mod I would give them a 5/10.

 

Sounds in Gay’s Mod are good, when moving something and placing it down you can hear that it has done that. Also when shooting a gun you can hear it being shot and then hitting something. The thing to improve on would be adding music in at the main menu to make it less bland. For sound I would give Gray’s Mod an 8/10.

 

For the replay ability of Gary’s Mod is good because players can download different thing like weapons, different game modes, etc. there are different games to play every day for different players uploading there game that they have made. So this game is a never-ending game. For replay ability I would give Gary’s Mod a 10/10.

 

Overall Gray’s mod is a good game to play, as there are lots of thing to do on it. If players are in to creative game I would recommend this to them. I did like this game a lot this was because I like creating thing, but I did not like the graphics and found it lagged a lot. The PROS of the game is that the replay ability is amazing due to it being an endless game. The CONS of the game are that the graphics are not very good.
