The fun factor in Split Second is that it is not just a racing game it also allows players to blow up other cars when racing. The player can get power ups which allows them to blow up parts of the map for example a gas station to blow up other cars . To do this players will need to drift around corners to fill the energy bar at the bottom on the screen. The map can be change around from blowing up sertain parts of the map like a tower which blocks the road off so the race changes on to another road. I did find after a while the game got abit boring because it was really the same thing over and over again. Overall I did still find the game to be enjoyable to play.
The gameplay on Split Second is very good, players are able to race against the computer or online against other players. The player can buy cars and upgrade them to make them faster. In this game there is an option of quick match, season and multiplayer to play. The quick match is an option that alllows players to try out all the cars and all the maps even if they haven't already unlocked them. Season is another option for players to play which allows them to unlock maps and car as they get thought the levels. Also there is multiplayer whcih allows players to play against friends and random players online. The bad thing for this game is that there is alot going on when racing and i found it hard to concentrate on the race from all the explosions going on around you. The good thing about this game is that some parts of the map can be changed which can result in the change of were the roads go.
The sounds on this game are extremely good, there is sound effects for collapsing buildings, explosions, from the cars engines and also the music at the start of the game on the main menu screen. This game is one of the best games I have ever played for the sound effects from every thing in the game. I could not find anything that needs to be improved on. Overall the games sounds are really good and they make the game sound very realistic.
The graphics on this game are also really good the games graphics have been made from photo realism to make the game look as realistic as possible. The detail on the cars are amazing, also the detail on the explosions are good as well. Some times when I was playing the game there was some blury bits on the map in the distance, you could only see them if you were really focusing on it so it is not a major thing. Overall the graphics on the game are very good and are also very realistic.
The replayability for this game is that players are able to play on multiplayer against friends and other random players. In multiplayer players can rank up to become top of the leaderboard, there is also achevements for players to get in the multiplayer and season options. Also the change in maps may incourage player to plaay the map again to see what would of happened if they would of blow up a different part of the map. Players can also buy the DLC packs for new maps and new cars to unlock, but so people may not want to buy them because of how much they are. Overall the the replayability is also very good from being able to get DLC packs.
Overall I found the game to be enjoyable to play. The PROS in this game are the sound effects on the game e.g explosions and the replayability from being able to get DLC packs. The CONS in this game are the by having so much going on in the gameplay it is hard to concentrate and they is no mini map on the screen to help you through the course. Overall I am going to give the game a 8/10.
