Injustice Review

Injustice: Gods Among Us is a fighting game based upon the fictional universe of DC Comics. The game was developed by Nether Realm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Xbox 360. This game has all the DC Comic characters for an example Super Man and Batman.

The gameplay in injustice is very similar to the game Street Fighter just because both of the games are 3D scroller. When in this game you the player is able to play as all the DC Comic characters for example Wonder Woman and The Joker. Each character has their own abilities/skills with in the game, for example Batman’s best move is bringing out bat car and running the enemy over to that a lot of health of them. I really enjoy the game play in this game, it is quite hard to get into due to the different combat moves that can be done but apart from that it is a really good game.

The graphics in this game are also quite good they are not the best but there is still quite a bit of detail in the attacks and characters. The parts that lack in detail is the background with in the game it just looks like the people that have made this game have only concentrated on were the characters go and pick up. So overall the graphics on this game do have some improvement to make the game better but the graphics are still good.

The sounds with in the game are very good there is sound effects for pretty much everything if it is not actually in the gameplay in the game for example the background noises from cars animals etc. There is sound effects from the characters when being hit and also when attacking the enemy. There are noise/sounds that repeat themselves over and over again so this could be an improvement to stop this from happening. What could be do is maybe add in more sounds to make the game a little bit better.

The replay ability is also good due to players being able to play as lots of different characters and to be able to use different moves in the game. There is an online in this game to allow players to go and fight against other players, there is also DLCs that players can get which allows the player to have new characters to play with and maps to fight on. I think at the moment the replay ability is good for the time being.

Overall this game is enjoyable and fun to play, the PROS in this game the replay ability due to there being lots, so players will have a reason to come back and play the game. The CONS in this game are the graphics because of there being not enough detail on the background in the game. There is also the sounds with in the game this needs to be improved to stop the different sound repeating. Overall I am going to give this game a 7/10. 

Infamous 2 review

Infamous 2

Infamous 2, is a 2011 action-adventure video game for the PlayStation 3 video game console developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The character that the player takes on has supernatural powers to control electricity in an evil way and good way depending on how you go they the game depends on the good or evil of the character.

The gameplay in this game is extremely good fun by being able to use electric as a weapons against enemies. Through the game the player will be able to choose between two paths one is a good path and the other an evil path. The only difference between them is different kinds of power and the colour of the electric, if the player chooses to be good the electric will be blue but is the player chooses to go evil the electric will be red. I found the gameplay to be very similar to assassins creed by being able to climb wall run across roof tops, the only difference I the use of electricity as a weapon.

The graphics on this game are quite good there is a little bit of detail on buildings and the environment, the most detail has be put into the character I believe this is because the game view is set in 3^rd person so through the whole game the player will be seeing the character more than anything else. I feel that the game has good graphics but do not beat the newest games graphics like Killzone Shadow Fall, this is because the game can out in 2011.

The sounds in this game are also good they is sound effects from the characters when speaking and when attacking enemies/getting hurt by enemies. There are not very many sound effects in the game, there is also the sounds when using the electricity against enemies and to help get around the place.

The replay ability in this game are being able to go online to play with friends and other random players. This one of the main replay ability part in this game which encourages the players to come back and play the game that most. There is other replay ability parts in this game like being able to unlock achievements with in the campaign/single player mode. The replay ability on this game is good enough to bring players back to play it. There is also a DLC that players can get which is free for the players to get. This is good because players that don’t have the money to spend on extras means that they can get this DLC.

Overall this game has lots of feature in it to mess around with and have fun. The PROS in this game are the gameplay by being able to climb buildings, fly by using the electric powers and run across roof tops. There is also the replay ability with the free DLC to allow players that don’t have the money to spend on extras to get the DLC. The CONS for this game are sounds with there not being very many but that is about it for the CONS in the game. Overall I am going to give this game an 8/10.

Bulletstorm review

Bulletstorm Review

Bulletstorm is a first-person shooter video game made by Polish developer People Can Fly and the American company Epic Games, and was published by Electronic Arts for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. There is a single game mode and a co-op game mode for players to enjoy.

The gameplay in Bulletstorm is focused on combat with the use of firearms and melee attacks. Also throughout the game the play will be able to kick enemies and use the energy leash. Through the game players will play in the first person shooter view killing enemies as they get through the game. When going through levels in the game players will come across bosses and harder enemies which make the game fun to player with having a bit of challenge. I find this game to be very similar to Gears of war but to be in first person instead of 3rd person.   

The graphics on this game are amazingly good lots of detail on characters and the environment a lot of work has been put into making this game. I think the main reason for the graphics been at their best is because of the Unreal engine 3. I found when playing the game I could easily see the detail that has been put into the weapons and the environment. I do not think that there are any room for improvement on the graphics in this game because there are just amazing.

The replay ability in this game is also good as well there is achievements that the player can unlock. There is also the choice to go online to play with friends and other random players that are playing online at the same time. There is also a DLC for this game which allows players to get for the price of $9.99, I don’t this this is that expensive but for some other people that may not have that kind of money to spend then this is a problem for them. In the DLC there is new maps, new missions, new achievements to be unlocked and I believe there is new colours to go onto the guns with in the online mode. So overall in the replay ability section there is enough to keep players playing this game for a while.

The sound effect in the game are also quite good, when getting shoot by an enemy there will be painful, shouting sounds from the character that the player is controlling. There is also sounds for the environment the player is in, for example in one of the mission the player will be able to hear falling rocks around them. I also think that there is music at the very beginning of the game at the menu scene.

Overall this game is enjoyable to play and fun coming up against big bosses with in the game. The PROS of this game are pretty much everything, the graphics in the game are amazing the detail on the characters and environment etc are so good. Also the gameplay is enjoyable there is lots of things to do so the player is always busy. The CONS in this game are very slim but there are some, like the cost of the replay ability I this is okay for some people but there is some other people that would not be able to spend that amount of money on the game so this would lead to them not having a reason to play the game over again. Overall I am going to give this game an 8.5/10.

Doom Review

Doom is a 1993 science fiction horror-themed first-person shooter video game by id Software. Doom is known to a lot of people to be as the first FPS game.

Doom can out in the year 1993 in its time it was known as one of the best games out. Doom in 1993 would be like Call of Duty Ghosts 2014. The gameplay is enjoyable there are weapons, health and armour that can be collected from around the maps. The player plays online with friends or other people playing the game. This is what makes the game fun to play be being able to interact with others.

The graphics on this game are really bad for the year 2014 but for the year it came out there was not very many good software and programs to make the games graphics good, but in the year it came out they were amazing. There is not much detail on the guns, the environment and the characters. As I said this is because the technology was rubbish in that time. The sound effects in the game are bad as well there is sounds from the gun fire and the characters getting hurt but really apart from that there is not anything else in this game that contains sound effects.

The replay ability in this game is also shocking I believe there is nothing for the replay ability apart from the player being able to play with other people online and the different maps to play on. So the replay ability could be improve a lot. Overall this game was good in its time but currently it is terrible. The PROS of this game are very slim for the current year (2014) but for the year it came out its graphics and gameplay were amazing. The CONS for this game are pretty much everything the graphics are really bad and gameplay is boring there is nothing to bring the player back to play it. For the year it came out everything was amazing due to how everything was limited. Overall I am going to give the game a 3/10 for the year 2014 but for the year 1993 when it came out I would give it a 9-10/10.

Diablo 3 Review

Diablo 3 Review

Diablo 3 is an action role-playing video game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. The game takes place in Sanctuary, the dark fantasy world of the Diablo series, twenty years after the events of Diablo II. In this game players will have the ability to choose which character they want. Also as the game progresses to player will be able to upgrade their character’s skills, get better weapons and also getting stronger armour.   

Diablo 3 is an enjoyable game that allows players to interact with friends and other players. An enjoyable thing about this game is that it allows the player to choose which characters. I feel that this is a great feature in this game because in lots of games players are stuck with one character throughout the whole game but in this game players are able to choose through a range of characters. Also each character that the player can pick have different abilities for an example a ‘Hunter’ is able to use a bow and arrow but a ‘Monk’ is able to use an axe, a sword and a shield.

Diablo 3’s gameplay is similar to that of previous titles in the Diablo franchise. The gameplay is in a 3rd person view which allows the player to see the character and all the other characters. In the game players are able to shoot enemies using a bow but this depends on which character they are using. Another ability that the player can do in the game is to cut up the enemies using a sword or an axe. In the game players will be able to rank up levels which means that they can get better skills for their character. Also the player has an inventory which holds the weapons and armour that the player collects with in the game.

Diablo 3’s graphics are extremely good at the beginning of the game with the scenes but I was disappointed when I got into the game when actually playing it, they were nothing like the graphics on the scenes. It was if the creators of this game just could not be bothered with the gameplay graphics. Say this I have seen worse games. I feel that there is just not enough detail in the character and the environment with in the game. I think that there is a lot to improve on the graphic in this game.

The sounds in Diablo 3 are music which is heard in the main menu at the beginning of the game and there is also background music throughout the playing the game. The background music is good because it becomes more intense when in battle. There is also the sounds from swords slashing against enemies and also you can hear the noises from the arrows being shot as well. I fell that the creators of this game have focused well on the sounds in the game and I don’t think there is any room for improvement.

The replay ability in this game is that there is a multiplayer in it which has ‘capture the flag’, ‘search and destroy’ and ‘team death match’. All of these game modes consist of players playing online. There are also achievements that players can unlock when playing the game but apart from that there is not much more for the replay ability.

Overall I fell that this game is very fun to play. The PROS for this game are the sound effect within the game for an example the change in background music from being calm to intense when battling. Also I like the gameplay I found it fun but also easy to get in to. The CONS of this game are the graphics, I feel that the graphics have really let this game down, they needed more time on them. Overall I am giving this game an 8/10, to only main problem for this game was the graphics.   

Dynasty Warriors 3 review

Dynasty Warriors 3 Review

Dynasty Warriors is a hack and slash video game developed by Omega Force and published by Koei. The platforms it is on are the Xbox and the PlayStation 2, it has a single player and a multiplayer for players to play with friends.

Dynasty Warriors 3 is one of those games that players will enjoy not because of the graphics (they are shockingly bad) but for the gameplay, the action and the adventure within the game. I found this game enjoyable when playing it with mates and playing it for the first time; after a while it becomes one of those games that just gets boring, this is because there an nothing to bring the player back and play the game (replay ability). Saying this, the game did come out on the PlayStation 2 and the Xbox, so it is a very old video game. There is still room for improvements to make it more enjoyable and fun for players to play like adding in a survival mode. This consists of the player surviving as many rounds as they can to beat other players in the world leader board.

The sounds in this game are very repetitive, when attacking enemies there are sounds from the character and the enemies, the clashing of swords and getting hurt. There is also sounds from the characters when in the cut scene when they talk, the voices are clear to understand what they are saying but they talk for less than 2 minutes.  Apart for that there is not much to talk about the sound because there are no more. To improve on this they could add in a background tone/music in parts to show the tense parts.

The graphics in this game are terrible, but I believe this if from it being on the old generation consoles. An example of how bad the graphics on this game are: the characters in the game do not have hands I think this was done because the technology when making this game was not very good so they had to do with what they had. The game did get and award on March 6^th 2003 for the ‘Best Overall Game Animation’. Overall this games graphics were good in the year 2003 but in the year 2014 they are shocking.

The replay ability as I said is bad very bad but there is one thing that would encourage player to play the game again this is multiplayer. Multiplayer allows the player to play with friend or family members, to work together to defeat the enemies. Apart from this the player has no other reason to come back and play the game. As I also said to improve this they could add in a survival mode. This consists of the player surviving as many rounds as they can to beat other players in the world leader board.

Overall for this game the PROS of the game are: the gameplay when in multiplayer the player can play with friends and family members. The CONS of this game are: the graphics are shocking due to it being on the PlayStation and the Xbox, the sounds in there game are repetitive, there are hardly anything for the replay ability. Overall I am going to give this 4/10 ratting but I am also going to give it an 8/10 for when it came out.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations Review

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations is a video game in the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja fighting game series, developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Namco Bandai Games. This game consists of players fighting each other or the computer when on the game. There are varies of different game modes to play on like single player for an example. This game is on these platforms: Xbox 360 and PS3.

I found this game to be really fun and enjoyable to play only when I was playing with a friend but when playing on my own I found it was very boring not as enjoyable to play.  The game is fun at first when playing on your own but after playing about 3 games it starts to become repetitive. By using the same attack abilities, same characters etc. I believe there is an online mode which allows players to play against other players this does make the game more fun and enjoyable to play.

The story of the game carries on from the other previous games in the series. The gameplay is very simple, all the player have to do is defeat the enemy which can be a random player if they are playing online or if in the story mode against bots controlled by the AI. The player can play as different characters that the game give them, these characters have different abilities, for example a character might have more health to be able to take more hits but might not be able to attack as fast as a character that cannot take as many hits.

The sounds in the game are very repetitive, when the play gets it there make the same sounds over and over again. There is some music playing in the menu section which suits the game very well it is not to calm and not to hard core just right. There are not very much sound effects in this game so that could be an improvement on this game by adding in more sound effects.

The use of graphics style in this game is cel-shading due to the dark out lines around the characters it could also be said to have exaggeration in it as well from the big colourful hair. The graphics in this game are quite childlike due to the colours and looking very cartoon like. There is not very much detail on the environment and the characters which is a sham because it is a good game to play and if there were a lot more effort put into making this game it would be a very popular game to play.

The replay ability for this game is that players can play online with friends or random players, there is a choice of choosing different characters to play with and there is getting the achievements from playing in the different game modes. Apart for that there is not really any more to make the players come back and play the game. It does get boring after a while, but if playing with friends it can be more fun and enjoyable.

Overall this game is fun to play if playing with friends but not on own. The PROS of this game are when playing with friends its fun to play and if the player is 12 and under there will enjoy it too due to the exaggeration of the hair and the cartoon feel. The CONS there is not much in the game to keep the players interested. There is not much sound effects in the game and the once that are in the game are very repetitive. Overall I’m going to give this game a 6/10.
