Bulletstorm Review

Bulletstorm is a first-person shooter video game made by Polish developer People Can Fly and the American company Epic Games, and was published by Electronic Arts for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. There is a single game mode and a co-op game mode for players to enjoy.

The gameplay in Bulletstorm is focused on combat with the use of firearms and melee attacks. Also throughout the game the play will be able to kick enemies and use the energy leash. Through the game players will play in the first person shooter view killing enemies as they get through the game. When going through levels in the game players will come across bosses and harder enemies which make the game fun to player with having a bit of challenge. I find this game to be very similar to Gears of war but to be in first person instead of 3rd person.   

The graphics on this game are amazingly good lots of detail on characters and the environment a lot of work has been put into making this game. I think the main reason for the graphics been at their best is because of the Unreal engine 3. I found when playing the game I could easily see the detail that has been put into the weapons and the environment. I do not think that there are any room for improvement on the graphics in this game because there are just amazing.

The replay ability in this game is also good as well there is achievements that the player can unlock. There is also the choice to go online to play with friends and other random players that are playing online at the same time. There is also a DLC for this game which allows players to get for the price of $9.99, I don’t this this is that expensive but for some other people that may not have that kind of money to spend then this is a problem for them. In the DLC there is new maps, new missions, new achievements to be unlocked and I believe there is new colours to go onto the guns with in the online mode. So overall in the replay ability section there is enough to keep players playing this game for a while.

The sound effect in the game are also quite good, when getting shoot by an enemy there will be painful, shouting sounds from the character that the player is controlling. There is also sounds for the environment the player is in, for example in one of the mission the player will be able to hear falling rocks around them. I also think that there is music at the very beginning of the game at the menu scene.

Overall this game is enjoyable to play and fun coming up against big bosses with in the game. The PROS of this game are pretty much everything, the graphics in the game are amazing the detail on the characters and environment etc are so good. Also the gameplay is enjoyable there is lots of things to do so the player is always busy. The CONS in this game are very slim but there are some, like the cost of the replay ability I this is okay for some people but there is some other people that would not be able to spend that amount of money on the game so this would lead to them not having a reason to play the game over again. Overall I am going to give this game an 8.5/10.
